Choose The Right Style Of Log Holder

Another great fireplace accessory is the log holder if you have a real wood fireplace you will need a place to stack the wood near the fire. When I was young I lived in a house with a large brick fireplace and next to the fireplace was a cabinet for wood.
The cabinet doors opened on the inside to easily store and access wood. On the outside of the fireplace was a metal door so that the wood could be stacked in the cabinet without ever being carried through the house.
Probably one of the more traditional log holders are the log baskets. These are just open baskets made from metal. They come in many colors to match your decor and other fireplace tools. Another cool holder is the log cart so you can wheel your heavy logs up to the fire and store them all in one place.
Other log holders are also racks that have fireplaces tools attached to them. Kind of an all in one fireplace solution. There are also leather log carriers which are like a sling that fits into the rack.
You can find log holders made of brushed steel and stainless steel, and black wrought iron, and bronze, and any number of sizes styles and colors. One of my favorites is the antique gold firewood holder with a canvas log carrier.
Just like most fireplace accessories the log holder can add style and function to your hearth and make using your fireplace easy and convenient.
